I had the opportunity to design the brand identity for Climate Intelligence Consulting, a startup made up of consultants who advise on topics related to climate science, international diplomacy and venture capital.

When designing the logo I chose to identify some key words related to the agency's values to help guide my brainstorming process. They were: "climate", "environment" and "protection". As I brainstormed ideas I soon chose to explore new ways to represent these words, aiming to go beyond the conventional visuals. 

One avenue I explored was historic symbols that represent protection. This is how I landed on the current logo. The logo is loosely based on the Viking rune for protection.
